Welcome to CHEERS @ Bordeaux « Global changes in estuarine and coastal systems: innovative approaches and assessment tools » conference !
Bordeaux, France, November 4th-8th, 2019
Environmental global changes are occurring at unprecedented rates and scales. Worldwide studies and monitoring programmes have been collecting data that should be analysed in order to put in evidence long-term trends and to explore spatial and temporal comparisons.
The CHEERS – “Global changes in estuarine and coastal systems: innovative approaches and assessment tools” will cover recent work highlighting these trends using a wide diversity of analytical tools and approaches related to physical and ecological evolution. Contributions covering different types of coastal systems (salt marshes, estuaries, lagoons, fjords, coastal area), a wide range of geographical areas and a large diversity of methods are expected. The integration of available knowledge to improve management tools and plans, as well as rehabilitate coastal habitats will be explored. Scientific and non-academic presenters are welcome to share their experiences and approaches for efficient management of estuarine and coastal areas.
